The Oneness Experience
St. John’s Missionary Baptist church SALT Ministry hosted us on Saturday, October 15th for “The Oneness Experience” Couples Workshop. This half-day workshop consisted of teaching, interactive couple activities, and a time for couples to spend one-on-one time sharing and experiencing a new level of oneness the way that God originally intended.
Brandon and Alicia Williams shared that they enjoyed the Mirror Activity. Many times, the voices and experiences of our past remind us of our failures and can make us feel insignificant. This activity allowed couples to use letters of their spouse’s/partner’s name to write out what they most appreciated about them and then to speak those words of encouragement and affirmation to their spouse /partner while they looked at themselves in the mirror.
The Straw Tower activity gave couples an opportunity to build something together as they demonstrated principle #3 of “The Power of Agreement “– Agreement With One Another. Here are highlights from this hilarious time!
The Gooch’s were blessed by the Face-to-Face Prayer. “When we went out in the hallway and had to look into each other’s eyes, ask for forgiveness and then pray together – whew! That was a breakthrough moment for us – very powerful!!” They even went back to their room that night and read more from the book and journal and worked through more of the exercises.
Sweetest Day Couples PaintNite!
