Happy New Year! It’s 2023 and we, like many others, are reflecting on the events and achievements of 2022 and looking forward to what God has planned for us in 2023.
It's been a busy year for Enduring Love Ministries, starting with the writing of our first book, “The Power of Agreement: Biblical Principles for Maximizing Marital Fulfillment”. In addition, we established our own publishing company. We want to express our sincere appreciation to Penda James, our scribe coach, who directed and guided us along our writing and publishing journey. From the beginning, when the Holy Spirit first prompted Renita saying, “It’s time to write the book”, God began putting the pieces together to make this book a reality; including writing, editing, graphic art and layout, printing, promoting, releasing the book, paint artist, wonderful family and friends, and supportive pastors, Van and Regina Smith. Watching all of this come to pass in less than 90 days was the Lord’s doing and it was marvelous in our eyes!

We launched the book on March 4th with a Couples PaintNite at the Solid Rock of Atlanta, followed the next day by a ½ day workshop focusing on the book’s three guiding principles: Agreement With God, Agreement Within Ourselves, and Agreement With One Another. In September, we wrote the companion journal to the book and both are available on our website, so if you haven’t already, Order your copy today!
Providing encouragement and inspiration to the followers and supporters of Enduring Love Ministries is the goal of our weekly blogs which started in July 2022. Some of our most popular posts included The ABCs of a Fulfilling Marriage, Choosing Mr. or Mrs. Right, “I HEARD You” – 5 Effective Listening Skills, and 7 Great Winter Ideas for Dating Your Mate. The feedback from readers has been encouraging as both singles and married people have been inspired by the practical tips, testimonies, and timely teaching that we shared in the blog gleaned from years of experience in ministering to couples and singles.
Sweetest Day weekend in October began with our guest appearance on Wave of Praise Digital Radio Station. We were honored to share part of our story from 32 years of marriage along with excerpts from our book with hosts Ashley McGuire and RaShawnda Young. St. John’s Missionary Baptist hosted The Oneness Experience Couples Workshop on Sweetest Day, October 15th. This half-day workshop consisted of teaching, interactive couple activities, and a time for couples to spend one-on-one sharing and experiencing a new level of oneness the way that God originally intended.
The day ended with the Sweetest Day Couples PaintNite! hosted by the Married 4 Life Ministry at Dominion Ministries International. Working together side-by-side, each couple created their own painting masterpiece. Take a look at the artists and their finished work!
In June 2022, we formally established our ministry outreach as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit entitled Enduring Love Ministries International which now allows individuals and couples to partner with us financially. Tax-deductible donations and sponsorships allow couples to attend our workshops and weekend advance through the generous giving of others. As Enduring Love Ministries expands through teaching and preaching the gospel, we were blessed at the end of 2022 to be invited as guest ministers for Love U, an online international school of discipleship offered through the Solid Rock of Atlanta. Our eight-part series from The Power of Agreement will be available to churches and ministries throughout the United States and abroad as couples are empowered through biblical principles for abundant living.
In Jeremiah 29:11, God declares that He knows the plans He has for us which will cause us to prosper, won’t harm us, and will give us a future and hope. It is such a privilege to serve couples and families as we walk out the Plan that God has for us as a couple and stewards of Enduring Love Ministries.
